Redwood Forest Foundation, Inc. (RFF) is a nonprofit conservation organization based in Fort Bragg, California. RFF supports the long-term stewardship of the Usal Redwood Forest and works with its Board, staff, community members,Tribal and regional partners, volunteers and local visitors to advance responsible forest stewardship and community programs.
The Office Manager provides dependable day-to-day support for the RFF Welcome Center, office operations, Board and committee administration, donor database, records and routine organizational systems. The successful candidate will be organized, efficient, dependable, welcoming and able to manage recurring responsibilities in a small office where priorities and visitor needs can shift throughout the day.
• Two or more years of administrative, office, customer-service, meeting-support or comparable experience. A college degree is not required.
• Strong organization, accuracy, efficiency, reliability, discretion and follow-through, including the ability to manage recurring deadlines and confidential information
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with visitors, staff, board members and community partners
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office, email and calendar systems, shared drives, basic spreadsheets and PDF documents.
• Ability to learn databases and digital tools and to work effectively from templates, procedures and supervisor direction
• Basic technology troubleshooting skills and sound judgment about when to refer an issue to an outside professional
• Ability to work independently in an open, publicly accessible office, remain composed during interruptions and manage
multiple recurring tasks
• Availability for a consistent on-site weekly schedule; a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance and acceptable driving record are required when driving for RFF.
•Experience with a nonprofit, conservation, community-serving or public-facing organization, including Board or committee support.
• Experience with meeting minutes, donor database or CRM data entry, gift processing or event logistics.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Canva or AI-assisted productivity tools; graphic design and content creation
